TYPE: Kayenta Black-on-White

DATE: A.D. 1260 to 1300 (Oppelt, 2008;21)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, occasionally secondary exterior designs.

COMMON DESIGNS: Negative designs that have broad lines and usually more black than white on the design field.  Fine hatching lines commonly painted over solids or vice-versa.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Unlike Tusayan Black-on-White, Kayenta often has fine hatching lines painted over solids or vice-versa.
