TYPE: Wingate Polychrome Variants DATE: A.D. 1125 to 1300 (Carlson, 1970;25)
1Y Wingate Polychrome Variant Bowl. This vessel has a Puerco-Escavada Style interior with a Wingate Polychrome Style bottom. The upper exterior of the bowl is done in an early crude St. Johns Polychrome Style. Overall the designs are early which is why it is considered a Wingate Polychrome variant, it is likely transitional to St. Johns Polychrome. Approximate Dimensions: 6 1/2" by 3"
