TYPE: Tusayan Black-on-White

DATE: A.D. 1125 to 1300 (Oppelt, 2008;52)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, occasionally secondary exterior designs.

COMMON DESIGNS: Designs often have more black than white on the design field. Designs are made up of large solids and broad lines measuring about 1 centimeter or 1/2" wide, along with fine lines often to create what are known as negative designs.  Bowl designs usually have an open circle or square space in the bottom.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Usually more black than white on design fields. Broader lines that are usually about 1 centimeter or 1/2" wide.
