TYPE: Tsegi Black-on-Orange

DATE: A.D. 1125 to 1300 (Oppelt, 2008;50)

COMMON BACKGROUND COLOR(S): Orange.

PRIMARY BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors.

COMMON DESIGNS: Multiple thin parallel black bands common near the rim and bottom of design, occasionally a wide black band near the rim, sometimes crosshatching or dots used in the design. Designs on the walls of bowls somewhat rare.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Black designs on an orange polished background. Multiple thin interior rim bands often the only design.
