DATE: A.D. 1100 to 1300 (Oppelt 2008,46)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, rarely secondary exterior designs.

COMMON DESIGNS: Rectilinear, thick lines that meet at right angles, key motifs are common.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Designs are rectilinear and not triangular or barbed as in Escavada.

OTHER COMMON TYPES WITH SIMILAR DESIGN STYLES:

White Mountain Redware: Puerco Black-on-Red

Tusayan Whiteware: Occasionally Black Mesa and Sosi Black-on-White

types will look like Snowflake style.

Mesa Verde Whiteware: Occasionally Cortez and Mancos Black-on-White types will look like Snowflake. Mesa Verde Black-on-White produced the Snowflake style more often than the "earlier Mesa Verde" types.
