TYPE: Jeddito Plain

DATE: A.D. 1300 - 1625+ (Oppelt, 2008;19)

COMMON BACKGROUND COLOR(S): Yellow to orange, dull white to gray, pink, fire clouds common. Some are black sooted or stained. 

TEMPER: Usually large quartz sand, some with a little fine mica particles.

VARIETIES:

Rough (hand smoothed, yet feels rough)

Polished (tool polished)

Rim Coil

COMMENTS: Surfaces may or may not have much quartz temper protruding, often giving the vessel a rough texture.
