TYPE: San Francisco Red DATE: A.D. 550 to 1000 (Wood, 1987;70) KEY DIFFERENCES: Bowl interiors and exteriors usually slipped red. Bowl exteriors often have "end of finger sized" dimpling. Occasionally lightly smudge. VARIETIES: Dimpled Exterior Non-Dimpled Exterior Smudged
