TYPE: Prieto Polychrome DATE: A.D. 1275 to 1400 (Neuzil & Lyons, 2005:37 ) BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, secondary exterior designs rare. COMMON DESIGNS: Broad simple red designs (usually rectilinear) outlined with thin white lines, occassionally broad white designs on exteriors. KEY DIFFERENCES: Broad red lines outlined with thin white lines on tan. VARIETIES: Painted and non-painted exteriors. COMMENTS: This type may be considered a variety of Nantack Polychrome and may possibly have a later ending date (1450).
1N Salado Prieto Polychrome Bowl with an exterior design done in broad white lines (rare). The shape of this bowl is of a temporally late form.
