TYPE: Puaray Glaze Polychrome (Glaze E)

DATE: A.D. 1515 to 1650 (Oppelt,2002;44)

PRIMARY BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors and/or exteriors.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Shouldered bowls (usually the sharper, the later in time) with long thickened rims, usually all the way down almost to the shoulder. Jars have red slipped bottoms and rim interiors. SLIP AND/OR SURFACE TREATMENT: Bowl interiors and exteriors are slipped with white, yellow, tan, orange, or red slip. Jars have red slipped bottoms and rim interiors.

BACKGROUND COLOR: White, tan, yellow, orange, red.

DESIGNS: Wide red lines and motifs outlined in often "runny" glaze black or green paint.
