TYPE: Espinosa Glaze Polychrome (Glaze C)

DATE: A.D. 1425 to 1500 (Oppelt,2002;16)

PRIMARY BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors and/or exteriors.

COMMON DESIGNS:  Inner rims decorated on approximately half of bowls found, usually with zig-zag lines or short lines, ticking, and occasionally bird figures.

BACKGROUND COLOR: Slipped gray to creamy white, occasionally yellowish or pinkish(both surfaces on bowls)

KEY DIFFERENCES: Bowl rims appear to have had an "extra" coil added and smoothed in just below the top of the interior. Bottoms of bowls and ollas are often slipped red but occasionally not. Bowls are decorated like the previous types except that often the exterior design is continous around the entire bowl.
