The only reference available on this style of Papago pottery is attributed to a Cowan's Auctions, Inc. catalog (September 2005). Similar pottery in this same auction had old paper labels marked "Papago Ind. Reservation/San Xavier Mission" and "Tucson. A.T."  The first Papago/Tohono O'Odham reservation was established in 1874 in Southern Arizona. A.T., an abbreviation for Arizona Territory, existed from 1863 to 1912. Until other information is obtained, it is possible then to suggest the date of manufacture for this pottery type to be from 1874 to 1912.
