KEY DIFFERENCES: Black designs on white background. SLIP OR SURFACE TREATMENT: White slipped or not slipped white clay, usually well polished. VARIETIES: White slipped and unslipped white clay. COMMENTS: Early examples are extremely rare, most were made after 1930. FORMS: Jars early, then later many eccentric forms, effigies, etc.
