TYPE: Kinishba Red DATE: A.D. 1300 to 1350 (Oppelt, 2002:27) KEY DIFFERENCES: Red ware usually with fine silver and/or gold mica visual on the surface and in the paste. Occasionally highly polished but usually dull and lightly polished. VARIETIES: Smudged and non-smudged COMMENTS: Fire clouds are common. Paste is usually brown often with a carbon streak in the center.
