TYPE: Kayenta Polychrome

DATE: A.D. 1250 to 1300 (Oppelt, 2008;21)

COMMON BACKROUND COLOR(S): Orange.

PRIMARY BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors.

COMMON DESIGNS: Primary design fields often had thick red lines outlined by thin black lines, which in turn were outlined by thin white lines.  Some designs included black hatched designs or multiple parallel lines, and/or staggered elements.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Four colors on the primary design field: Red, black, and white, on an orange background. The secondary design field often had broad red stripes on an orange background.
