TYPE: San Andres (Broadline) Red-on-Terracotta

DATE: A.D. 1150 - 1300 (Oppelt, 2008;41)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors.

COMMON DESIGNS: Simple lines often in parallel groups. Motifs include diamons, squares, triangles. A single wide banding line is usually painted just below the rim.  The top of the rim is usually painted also.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Broad linework (usually 5 to 8 mm or greater).

FORMS: Bowls, jars, pitchers.

COMMENTS: Terracotta is usually a light brownish-orange.
