TYPE: Lincoln Black-on-Red DATE: A.D. 1300 - 1400 (Oppelt; 2002,29) COMMON DESIGNS: Early designs are similar to Three Rivers Red-on-Terracotta. Later designs consist of thicker linework, solids, key motifs. The latest examples are glaze designs similar to Rio Grande Glazeware: Agua Fria Glaze-on-Red. KEY DIFFERENCES: Black paint. COMMENTS: Background color can be terracotta (light brownish-orange) to red.
