TYPE: Ramanote Plain KEY DIFFERENCES: Not polished but hand smoothed. Lots of gritty sandy temper. Temper in Gila Plain from the Tucson area is much finer. Usually thicker and heavier than Gila Plain vessels of equal size. COLOR: Brown, gray, black, reddish brown. TEMPER: Angular quartz and rounded feldspar.
