TYPE: Fourmile Black-on-Red

DATE: A.D. 1325 to 1400 (see comments)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, secondary exterior designs.

COMMON DESIGNS: Designs are the same as Showlow Glaze-on-White, which are basically the same as Fourmile Polychrome.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Basically the same as Fourmile Polychrome, except there is no white outlining. Paint is often matte glaze.

COMMENTS: This type has not been formally described (new type). It has been mentioned in Gifford,1980:32. Dates are assumed to be the same as Fourmile Polychrome.
