TYPE: Kwahe'e Black-on-White DATE: A.D. 1125 to 1250 (Oppelt, 2008;23) BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs. COMMON DESIGNS: Banded designs common often with heavy solid motifs and opposed hatched motifs. Some vessels used only solid motifs and many others used only hatched motifs. Most motifs were rectilinear but some were curvilinear. KEY DIFFERENCES: Mineral paint. SLIP OR SURFACE TREATMENT: Thin white slip.
