TYPE: Villa Ahumada Red-on-White DATE: A.D. 1250 to 1660 (Rakita and Raymond, 2003;160) COMMON DESIGNS: Simple linework consisting of multiple lines, solid triangles, and dots. KEY DIFFERENCES: Red designs on a white slipped background. SLIP OR SURFACE TREATMENT: White slip, usually bottoms not slipped. TEMPER: Appears to be sand occassionally with very fine mica particles. FORMS: Jars, effigy seed jars.
