TYPE: Tewa Polychrome DATE: A.D. 1650 to 1750 (Oppelt,2002:58) COMMOND DESIGNS: Red slip was applied first then white slip then black designs painted on the white slip. KEY DIFFERENCES: Large areas of red slip were applied first then white slip. Later types applied white slip first then less or a little red slip compared to Tewa Polychrome. The white slip was usually horizontally polished and slightly crazed when fired.
