BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors

COMMOND DESIGNS: Design motifs include short lines, zig-zags, hatching, chekerboards, and crosses. Rim ticking common.

BACKGROUND COLOR: Tan to light gray to dark gray, fire clouding common.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Rough exterior, no bowl exterior designs or slip.

SLIP AND/OR SURFACE TREATMENT: Bowl interiors and jar exteriors are slipped and polished, opposite surfaces left rough and not slipped.

COMMENTS: Jars are rare.
